Reese Witherspoon took her career seriously when she first enrolled at Stanford University. Early successes in the field of critical success included roles in films such as Pleasantville and Election however it was her performance as Elle Woods in the box office smash Legally Blonde that marked a significant turning point in her career. She started her professional career at the beginning of 2000, performing in various small-sized television shows. In 2003 she debuted as a movie star in The Invisible Man. The television debut of her career was House of Lies Whitney. In addition, she has appeared in the films The Dictator and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.
