Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic music composer, performer and singer. Avery Sunshine combines soul gospel with R&B to make a distinctive mixture. From Broadway to European events and bars, Sunshine has performed all over the world. Sunshine's name is Denise White. While she resides in Atlanta but she is from Chester Pennsylvania where she began the musical path by singing and playing piano in church. In Atlanta she attended Spellman College where her musical instruction began with the local R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The single with her voice on it, Stalk You a House 12 was only released in Japan. It's been remixed many times, and has become a staple in her live performance. She has also contributed her voice on the soundtrack to The Fighting Temptations. She was then hired as the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. In 2007, Grammy and Tony award-winning vocalist Jennifer Holliday sought her out for the role of director of choral for the stage production of Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine was recognized nationally through her performances on four consecutive days in 2008 at the Democratic National Convention. She was then invited to perform during President Obama's 2008 inaugural.
